Graduate from B.E. College, served the industry for about 6 years. Joined I.I.T. , Khragpur as lecturer and became professor and Head, now retired. A large number of publications to his credit. Also guided and completed a number of sponsored research and consultancy projects. Was member of many high powered committees. Of C.S.I.R., Ministry of Education, Govt of India etc. He is recipient of many awards and prizes. Presently he is Hony. Secretary of MGMI.
